# Descuento especial

## Resumen

Los descuentos especiales son descuentos para situaciones o clientes específicos, como estudiantes o personas mayores. Estos descuentos difieren de los descuentos estándar, porque el descuento se resta del subtotal.

Esta función aplica un descuento porcentual a los artículos marcados como elegibles en el archivo de PLU o de Departamento. El cajero determina si el cliente es elegible para el descuento de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos de la tienda, y luego lo aplica seleccionando el \*\*\[Descuento especial]\*\*MOP como el primer MOP en la transacción.

A medida que se agregan a la transacción los artículos elegibles para el descuento especial, el sistema mantiene un subtotal y lo muestra a la izquierda del total de cupones de alimentos en la sección MOP de la ventana del ticket con un indicador de “SD”.
