Hardware Requirements
Verifone Commander with Verifone C18 Point of Sale
Software Requirements
Verifone Commander Release 46 and higher.
The feature to restrict the volume of fuel to be dispensed in unattended mode has been added in Verifone Commander Release 53.36 and higher.
Configuring Unattended Fueling
Unattended Configuration
To configure Unattended Fueling in the Verifone Configuration Client go to: Forecourt > Unattended DCR.

Unattended Mode
Click the drop down menu next to Unattended Mode and select Unattended Configuration Enabled or Scheduled.
Scheduled
If Scheduled, set start time and number of hours the feature needs to be enabled.
Help Message
Enter the help message in the Help message 1 and 2 fields.
Ignore eSign Offline
Select Ignore eSign offline if the electronic price sign is not working, but, still sale can be allowed to occur unattended. This can be used in a scenario where the power is shutdown at night, but, the pumps are left available to purchase fuel.
Disable Cash Acceptor
Select Disable Cash Acceptor if the site does not want to allow cash while no one is at the site to give them change if an underrun occurs.
Fueling Limit
In the Fueling Limit field, enter the fueling limit in gallons.
Cash Receipt Message
In the Cash receipt message fields 1 to 5, configure a customer message on cash underrun receipts such as to explain how to get their refund.
The Help message and Cash receipt lines have a 20-character limit per line.
When in Unattended Mode
Car Wash (Outside)
Will be disabled when DCR is out of paper.
Cash Acceptor
Will not display message for customer to go inside for change in the case of an underrun. Instead, it will print amount owed on receipt with instructions to obtain amount due.
Will be disabled when DCR is out of paper.
DCR/DCR Idle Screen
Will not display message to customer to go inside and see an attendant for receipt when DCR is out of paper or to prepay inside
Will instruct customer they are unable to use a fuel point if disabled.
Will not allow fuel to be dispensed when DCR is out of paper unless customer acknowledges they do not want a receipt prior to fueling.
POS
Will track Cash Acceptor underruns.
DCR Idle Screen Configuration
To configure DCR Idle Screens in Unattended Fueling Mode in the Configuration Client go to: Forecourt > DCR Idle Screen Configuration.

Unattended Idle Screens
Select Unattended Idle Screens from the Select the Idle Screen Mode drop down menu.
Add
Click Add.
Idle Screen Name
Enter a name for the idle screen.
Text Lines
Enter text for the DCR None-Graphic Idle Screen in Text Lines 1-4.
Graphic Enabled
Check the box for Graphic Enabled if the DCRs are graphic enabled.

Text Entry
For the Graphic Enabled idle screen, text can be entered in 2 lines if the corresponding buttons are not configured with soft keys.
Configuring a text line in both types of DCRs to indicate to the customer the fuel limit would be a good practice.
Save
Click [Save].
When configured, the unattended idle screen removes all of the pay inside options for the DCR soft keys.
Using Unattended Fueling
Sites that are not completely unattended may enable and disable the Unattended Mode through a POS Terminal.
Select Option
In the Unattended Mode Menu select one of the three available options:
Enable Unattended Mode: If Unattended Mode is enabled in Forecourt > Unattended DCR.
Disable Unattended Mode: To disable unattended mode.
Follow Unattended Schedule: If Unattended Mode is scheduled in Forecourt
> Unattended DCR.
