CM5P B FF Quick Installation Guide

This guide connects the CM5P B-FF full-function base to its peripherals and power, pairs a CM5P terminal with it, and docks the terminal.

Before you begin, confirm you have all devices, cables, and accessories listed below.

The full-function base the CM5P terminal docks into, with USB, network, serial, and power ports along its side.

Quick Setup Guide

Connect a Cash Register

Plug the cable into the port marked with the two-way arrow on the side of the base, and connect the 9-pin serial connector at the other end to the cash register.

Connect to the Network

Plug an Ethernet cable into the port marked with the network icon on the side of the base, and plug the other end into your network wall jack.

Connect a Computer

Plug the cable into the port marked with the two-way arrow on the side of the base, and connect the 9-pin serial connector at the other end to the computer.

Connect the Power

Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet, then connect its cable to the power port on the side of the base.

Open Base Control

On the terminal, open the Base Control app.

Pair the Terminal with the Base

From Base Control, pair the terminal with the base over Bluetooth.

Place the Terminal in the Base

Lower the CM5P terminal into the base until it seats on the charging contacts.
