M400 Privacy Shield Quick Installation Guide

This guide shows how to fit the privacy shield onto an M400 payment terminal and how to take it off again.

Before you begin, confirm you have all devices, cables, and accessories listed below.

Fit the Privacy Shield

Seat the shield over the keypad of the M400 so that it sits square around the keys.

Press the shield onto the keypad

Hold the shield over the keypad and press both side walls inward against the terminal, so that each leg slides down into the slot beside the keypad, as the enlarged detail shows.

Check that the shield is seated

With both legs engaged, the shield sits flat around the keypad and its side walls rest flush against the terminal.

Remove the Privacy Shield

Free the legs first, then lift the shield clear of the terminal.

Press the side walls inward

Press both side walls of the shield inward to release the legs from the keypad slots.

Lift the shield off

Lift the shield straight up to draw both legs out of the slots and off the terminal.
