# K250 Quick Installation Guide

This guide covers the hardware installation of the K250 in both chassis variants, K250 Extended and K250 Slim: opening the terminal, mounting it on a counter, and connecting the cable.

Before you begin, confirm you have all devices, cables, and accessories listed below.

## Quick Setup Guide

### Unpack the Terminal

Unpack the terminal and confirm the 5/16"-18 mounting bolt and the key are present. The guide covers both chassis variants, K250 Extended and K250 Slim.

### Open the Terminal

Follow the sub-steps for your chassis variant: 2.1 to 2.4 for the K250 Extended, 2.5 and 2.6 for the K250 Slim.

#### Release the rear cover (Extended)

Push the catch on the rear cover of the K250 Extended upward.

#### Swing the rear cover away (Extended)

Swing the rear cover down and away from the base to expose the module inside.

#### Unlock the stand (Extended)

Turn the key in the lock on the side of the stand (detail).

#### Lift the rear panel off (Extended)

Lift the rear panel upward and take it off the chassis to expose the internal assembly.

#### Unlock the stand (Slim)

On the K250 Slim, turn the key in the lock on the side of the stand (detail).

#### Swing the cover away (Slim)

Swing the cover away from the stand.

### Mount the Terminal on the Counter

#### Drill the counter

Drill the counter to the hole pattern shown, using the sizes and dimensions called out in the artwork (3/8"-4, 10.3 mm and 3.3 mm).

#### Position the terminal and fit the mounting plate

Lower the terminal onto the drilled counter, then secure the mounting plate with four screws. The poster draws both sub-steps as a single illustration joined by the transfer arrow.

#### Tighten from beneath the counter

Working under the counter, tighten the nut onto the stud (detail).

### Connect the Cable (K250 Extended)

Connect the power and USB cable to the port at the base of the K250 Extended.
