Safety Instructions

1. Prior to connecting the equipment, thoroughly read and understand all instructions. Do not proceed with the connections until all instructions and warnings have been comprehended.
2. Ensure that there are no missing or defective parts; do not use any defective parts. Verifone holds no liability for damage or injury resulting from improper connections, misuse, or failure to adhere to safety instructions, which may void the warranty.
3. Use only attachments recommended by Verifone to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
4. Avoid using the device near water.

Periodic Inspection

1. Regularly check the product to ensure ongoing safety.
2. Periodically inspect the device for signs of tampering, including:

   • Wires protruding from the device.
   • Damage to the tamper-evident labels.

Environmental Factors

1. Avoid using the device in areas with excess heat, dust, humidity, moisture, caustic chemicals, or oils.
2. Keep the device away from direct sunlight and any heat-emitting sources.
3. Choose a customer-convenient location, avoiding dusty, hot, or damp environments.
4. To reduce data errors, select a location free from magnetic interference, maintaining a safe distance from objects or units generating magnetism.

Inside the Shipping Carton

Upon opening the shipping carton, meticulously examine its contents for any signs of tampering or shipping damage.

To Unpack the Shipping Carton

Unpacking Instructions:

Thoroughly examine the shipping carton.

Verify the authenticity of the sender by checking the shipping tracking number and other details on the product order paperwork.

Unseal the carton box.

Conduct a detailed inspection of the shipping carton contents. The carton box includes the following components as part of the Victa Mini PINpad product:

• Device
• Cable
• Power brick/Adapter

Remove all paper wrapping from the device and its components.

Preserve the shipping carton and packing materials for potential future repacking or relocation of the device.

Do not use a tampered or damaged unit. The device is equipped with tamper-evident labels. If you observe any damage to a label or component, promptly inform both the shipping company and your Verifone service provider.

Inspecting the Features of the Unit

Prior to proceeding with the installation process, familiarize yourself with the features of the device.

Connecting to the Power Supply

To connect the device to the power supply, follow these steps:

Connect the power supply cable

Identify the USB-C port on the Victa Mini PINpad device and connect the power supply cable to the port on the Victa Mini PINpad device.

Connect to a power source

Connect the other end of the power supply cable to a suitable power source or power adapter.

Verify the connection

Ensure a secure connection and proper alignment.

Startup and Shutdown

The startup process for the Victa Mini PINpad device varies based on its power source. To power up, press, and hold the power key for approximately 2 seconds until the startup screen appears.

Victa Mini PINpad Connections

Victa Mini PINpad can be used as a companion PINpad by connecting it to the merchant facing device and the ECR. It can also can be pole mounted.

Victa Mini PINpad to Merchant-Facing Device

To connect the device as a companion PINpad, follow these steps:

Identify the merchant-facing device

The standalone countertop payment terminal will be the merchant-facing device.

Connect the companion PINpad

Connect the standalone terminal to the companion PIN pad, Victa Mini PINpad, which serves as the customer-facing device.

Accept customer payments

Allow customers to make card payments through the companion PIN pad using contactless methods.

Victa Mini Connections

Victa Mini PINpad can be connected the ECR and other peripherals through orange dongle D3. It can also be pole mounted.

Victa Mini to ECR and other peripheral devices

To connect the device to the ECR and other peripheral devices, follow these steps:

Connect to the ECR, printer, and scanner

Connect the Victa Mini PINpad to the Electronic Cash Register (ECR), printer and scanner using the Orange Dongle (D3).

Verify communication

Ensure the terminal and the ECR establish proper communication for transaction data exchange.

Process transaction details

The ECR sends transaction details to the payment terminal for processing.

Victa Mini PINpad- Pole Mounting

To connect the device and place it on the pole, follow these steps:

Prepare the mounting area.

Assemble the pole mount and secure the pole mount bracket.

Attach the Victa Mini PINpad by aligning the mounting holes and fastening with the supplied screws.

Connect the required cables.

Power on the device and verify proper startup.

Victa Mini PINpad Transactions

CTLS	The device supports contactless credit or debit card transactions. To carry out a contactless smart card transaction, follow the below step gently tap the card onto the payment device or hold the card within 4 cm against the surface of the device on the left side of the keypad, above the Contactless Reader icon.
