# Device Overview

Verifone Victa Register is a modern, all-in-one POS solution. Complementing this is Verifone Victa Lane, a customer-facing screen with built-in biometrics (Facial Recognition and Palm Vein Reading) for secure, seamless payments, including all three card payment types: Contactless, Smart Card and Magstripe readers. Powered by an octa-core processor, Verifone Victa Register is ideal for high-traffic, security-focused environments. Victa Register supports two modes, Dual Screen Mode and Split Screen Mode.<br>

* **Dual Screen Mode** - The Victa Lane is mounted directly to the same pedestal as the Victa Register. Both displays share a single stand. Use this configuration for counter-top deployments where the merchant and customer face each other across a fixed counter.
* **Split Screen Mode** - The Victa Lane is separated from the Victa Register pedestal and connected via cable, allowing the Victa Lane to be positioned closer to the customer. Use this configuration when the customer needs independent access to the payment screen, such as at a wide checkout counter or self-service station.

The Victa Register supports Verifone's estate management services, enabling clients to remotely monitor and update their payment devices. Victa Register supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Ethernet and USB communications.

The Verifone payment device supports all payment methods, including magnetic stripe, EMV, and NFC/contactless reader, along with popular mobile wallets like Apple Pay, Google pay, and Samsung Pay.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/hardware-products/hardware/victa/victa-register/victa-register-installation-guide/device-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
