Commander 56.00.00 Highlights

We’re thrilled to announce exciting updates to the latest Verifone Commander software that enhance convenience, streamline operations, and like never before, empower your business.

Discover the notable enhancements:

1

Verifone Self Checkout Enhancements

Verifone Self Checkout is better than ever with these new features:

  • Implementing the remote cashier action “Void Ticket” into Verifone Self Checkout Monitoring Detailed View.

  • Updating the Look Up button to follow the Pay at Counter button on the checkout screen.

  • Renaming “Hot Items” to “Popular Items” reflects their trendiness, making it easier to find what’s in demand.

  • Increasing to 16 popular items provides more variety and makes it easier to discover trending options quickly.

2

2D Bar Code Support

Supporting 2D barcodes enables access to this new format as products begin to adopt them.

3

Loyalty Program Names

The POS now conveniently displays the relevant PCAT Loyalty Program Name or Program ID while processing loyalty transactions on both indoor and outdoor terminals, improving clarity and efficiency.

4

Verifone C-Site Management Enhancements

The C-Site Management has been made better with these enhancements:

  • Enhancing the user experience for the Touchscreen Configuration by adding the use of Dragging and Dropping items. It’s very satisfying to simply click on an item, slide it to the desired location, and let go to drop it precisely where you want it.

  • Editing an existing Loyalty Enterprise Configuration is quick and easy, allowing for seamless updates and customization to better suit current needs.

5

Other Enhancements and Changes

  • Adding Sales Security settings to Line Item Tax Exempt and Quantity functions gives protection to transactions.

  • Serial DCR support has been removed. Switching from serial support to Ethernet IP support has streamlined the connectivity, providing faster and more reliable and secure communication across the network for EMV payments.

  • This release will no longer install on End-of-Life (EOL) Legacy Devices such as Topaz XL 410, Ruby2, RubyCi, and Ruby2 iOrder.
