# Processors PROD Signing Ref Guide

This document describes the process of **Processors PROD Signing** for **Verifone** **Software** files with **ADE encryption**.

This is applicable for **Engage** version application only.

NOTE — Recommendation for IS ONLY: Request a PROD SIGNED file from the processor to determine the CID (by sending them a file to be PROD SIGNED and have them returned to you back), as the CID is required for steps 2 and 5 in the process.

\## 1 — Extract the Serial number from SponsorCertif.crt

1. Open the Processor PROD SIGNED file and drill down into any file (i.e. `sca_config-2.31.tgz`) until the `crt` folder is visible.
2. Open the `crt` folder and double click on `SponsorCertif.crt`.
3. Copy the Serial number, example — `213559` (this is required later).
