# SCA Credit App Re prompt Ref Guide

## Credit Application Prompt Confirmation

SCA application needs to be enhanced to support re-prompting during the Credit Application process for certain secure prompts such as SSN and Date of Birth.

When the SSN prompt is triggered from the Point of Sale (POS), the user enters input (as their SSN number) and the device will prompt them to confirm the SSN number once again. Subsequently, the user enters the SSN for a second time. If the input matches, then the application proceeds to the next prompt of the CREDIT\_APP command.

However, if there is a mismatch, then the user will be instructed to re-enter the SSN on the device. If the mismatch occurs twice, an error response containing a specific result code will be sent back to the POS.

The following fields are added to the CREDIT\_APP command to support this functionality:

* PROMPT1\_CONFIRM, PROMPT2\_CONFIRM to PROMPT10\_CONFIRM
* PROMPT1\_CONFIRM\_TEXT, PROMPT2\_CONFIRM\_TEXT to PROMPT10\_CONFIRM\_TEXT
