# Maximal Stored Transactions Reached

What to do when a P400 Two-Piece shows Max number of offline transactions — reconnect and send the stored transactions.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this page when** your terminal shows a **red cross** and the message **"Max number of offline transactions"**.
{% endhint %}

Also called: max number of offline transactions, maximal stored transactions reached, offline limit reached, storage full, red cross. Search terms: max offline transactions, stored transactions, limit, red cross, offline, reconciliation.

</details>

## Symptoms

You may see one or more of the following:

* A **red cross** with the message **"Max number of offline transactions"**.
* The terminal won't accept any more payments.

**Most likely cause:** the terminal lost its network connection and has stored the maximum number of offline payments it can hold. It can't take more payments until the stored transactions are sent.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Until the stored transactions are sent, they're only held on the terminal. If the terminal is damaged or replaced before then, they'll be lost.
{% endhint %}

## Resolution

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Reconnect the terminal to the network

Reconnect the terminal — see [How to Connect the Cables](/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/how-tos/how-to-connect-the-cables.md) (network cable) or [How to Set Up Wi-Fi](/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/how-tos/how-to-set-up-wi-fi.md) (wireless).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Run a reconciliation

Run a reconciliation to send the stored transactions — see [How to Run a Reconciliation](/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/how-tos/how-to-run-a-reconciliation.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Try a transaction

Take a test payment to confirm the terminal is accepting payments again.

✅ **Issue fixed — stop here.** ❌ **Still not working — see** [**Offline Transactions**](/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/errors/offline-transactions.md) **for stuck transactions.**
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

**If the terminal accepts payments.** No further action needed.

**If the message still appears.** Contact Support below.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/errors/maximal-stored-transactions-reached.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
