# How to Print End of Day Reports

Print X and Z reports on your P400 Two-Piece, and understand how end of day works.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you want to print a summary of your sales — during the day (X report) or at the end of the sales day (Z report).
{% endhint %}

Reports are printed from the **operator unit** — the unit at the till.

## How end of day works

* **End of day happens automatically** every day at **00:00**. Your payments are deposited the next day.
* To change the end-of-day time, <mark style="color:red;">contact Verifone Support</mark>.
* To print a summary of your sales day, use the **Z report**.

## Print a report

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="X report" %}
The **X report** shows a total of what you've sold so far today. It **doesn't reset anything**, so you can use it to check your sales against your till at any time.

1. On the operator unit, press **#**.
2. Select **Reconciliation**.
3. Select **X Report**.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Z report" %}
The **Z report** also shows a total of what you've sold, but it **resets the counter**. Only take it at the **end of your sales day**, after your last payment.

1. On the operator unit, press **#**.
2. Select **Reconciliation**.
3. Select **Z Report**.
4. Choose **Print** or **Show on screen**.
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**Tip:** use the **number keys** instead of the touch screen to avoid pressing the wrong option.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If your Z report is missing transactions or the totals look wrong, see [Wrong Z or X Reports](/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/errors/wrong-z-or-x-reports.md).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/p400-two-piece-sa/how-tos/how-to-print-end-of-day-reports.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
