# How to Reboot the Terminal

Restart or power off a T650 Two-Piece using the power button on the T650C.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you need to restart or fully power off your T650 Two-Piece.
{% endhint %}

You restart the **T650C** only. The **P400** gets its power from the T650C, so it restarts with it.

## Reboot the terminal

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the power menu

Press and hold the **power button** on the T650C until the power panel appears.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose an option

When the menu appears, select either:

* **Restart** — to reboot the terminal, or
* **Power Off** — to power the terminal off completely.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Power back on

If you selected **Power Off**, press and hold the power button to switch the T650C back on. The P400 starts up with it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Terminal won't respond?** Unplug the T650C's **USB-C power cable** from the mains, wait **10–15 seconds**, then plug it back in.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/t650-two-piece/how-tos/how-to-reboot-the-terminal.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
