# How to Monitor Your Settlements

Check your TCS settlements are paid correctly, and what to do if something doesn't match.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you want to check your payments have been paid into your account correctly.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
It's always your responsibility to check your settlements. If anything in your bank statements doesn't match, <mark style="color:red;">contact Verifone</mark> straight away.
{% endhint %}

Verifone groups your payment transactions and pays them into your account with a **reference**.

## Check your settlements

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Check Clearing Status

The easiest way to monitor your settlements is to check that the items in **Clearing Status** always show **OK** — see [How to Read the Clearing Status](/support-nordics/tcs-client/transactions-and-clearing/how-to-read-the-clearing-status.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### See the transactions for a day

To see all the transactions for a particular day:

1. In **Clearing Status**, click the **day** you want to check.
2. Choose the **store**.
3. You'll see all the transactions for that store on that day.

For more detail, see [How to View Transaction Details](/support-nordics/tcs-client/transactions-and-clearing/how-to-view-transaction-details.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check what's in a settlement

To see which transactions are included in a specific payment, use the **reference search** in **Search** — see [How to Search for Transactions](/support-nordics/tcs-client/transactions-and-clearing/how-to-search-for-transactions.md). You'll get a list of the transactions in that payment.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Settlements continue to appear in your reports, but individual transactions are removed from TCS **62 days** after the purchase date. After that, you can't view them in detail or refund them.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/tcs-client/reports-and-account-monitoring/how-to-monitor-your-settlements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
