# How to Activate Print And Go

What Print And Go is on your V400M, how to get it, and what to do if receipts don't print properly.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you want your till system's receipts to print from your V400M instead of a separate receipt printer.
{% endhint %}

## What is Print And Go?

With **Print And Go**, the receipt from your till system is printed by the **terminal** instead of a separate printer.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Your till system must support Print And Go.** To get this feature, contact your **ECR (till system) provider**. If you'd like to know more about how the feature works, <mark style="color:red;">contact Verifone Support</mark>.
{% endhint %}

Once Print And Go is turned on, make sure there's a receipt roll in the terminal — see [How to Connect the Cables](/support-nordics/v400m-integrated/how-tos/how-to-connect-the-cables.md).

## If receipts don't print properly

If receipts come out jagged, don't come out at all, or the print is fainter than usual:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Check the receipt roll

Check the receipt roll is inserted correctly.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Clean the roll and printer

Take out the receipt roll and blow away any dust.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Clear the receipt cutter

Remove any bits of paper stuck in the **receipt cutter**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Put the roll back in

Insert the roll again, leaving a small piece of paper **sticking out**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Run a test print

1. Press **4** and **6** at the same time, then enter password **1234** and press the **green button**.
2. Select **Receipt data**.
3. Select **Print** to check whether the problem has gone.

✅ **Receipt prints clearly — stop here.** ❌ **Still not printing properly —&#x20;**<mark style="color:red;">**contact Verifone Support**</mark>**.**
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/v400m-integrated/how-tos/how-to-activate-print-and-go.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
