# How to Remove a Wi-Fi Network

Remove a saved Wi-Fi network from your V400M.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you want to remove a saved Wi-Fi network from your terminal — for example, if you've changed your Wi-Fi or no longer use that network.
{% endhint %}

## Before you start

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** having more than one Wi-Fi network saved can cause connection problems, so it's a good idea to remove any you don't use.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Once you remove the Wi-Fi network, the terminal will no longer connect to it. Make sure the terminal can still connect another way — for example, with **another Wi-Fi network** — so it stays online.
{% endhint %}

To open the menu, press **4** and **6** at the same time, then enter password **1234** and press the **green button**.

Tap **Remove Network**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Confirm removal

Select **Yes** to confirm.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Leave the menu

Press the **red button** until you're out of the menu.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="success" %}
The Wi-Fi network has now been removed from the terminal.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/v400m-integrated/how-tos/how-to-remove-a-wi-fi-network.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
