# Offline Transactions

What happens when your V400M stores payments offline, and how to send or check them.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this page when** your terminal lost its internet connection and took payments offline, or those payments haven't been sent now that it's back online.
{% endhint %}

## Symptoms

You may see one or more of the following:

* Your terminal lost its internet connection but kept taking card payments.
* Payments are saved on the terminal and haven't reached your account yet.
* Saved payments haven't been sent, even though the terminal is back online.

**Why this happens:** when your terminal is offline, it saves payments so you can keep trading. It sends them automatically as soon as it's back online.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Verifone is not responsible for offline transactions. If your terminal is damaged or replaced while payments are still saved on it, those payments will be lost. Get your terminal back online and send them as soon as you can.
{% endhint %}

## Resolution

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Get your terminal back online

If the terminal is still offline, reconnect to Wi-Fi — see [How to Set Up Wi-Fi](/support-nordics/v400m/how-tos/how-to-set-up-wi-fi.md) — or check your mobile data — see [How to Check Mobile Data Configuration](/support-nordics/v400m/how-tos/how-to-check-mobile-data-configuration.md). Saved payments are sent automatically once it's back online.

✅ **Payments sent — stop here.** ❌ **Still not sent — continue to Step 2.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Run a reconciliation

A reconciliation sends any saved payments straight away — see [How to Run a Reconciliation](/support-nordics/v400m/how-tos/how-to-run-a-reconciliation.md).

✅ **Payments sent — stop here.** ❌ **Still not sent — continue to Step 3.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check which payments are still saved

See [How to Check Stored Transaction Data](/support-nordics/v400m/how-tos/how-to-check-stored-transaction-data.md). This shows any payments still waiting to be sent.

If payments are still listed and won't send, they may be stuck — continue to Step 4.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Contact Verifone Support

If payments are stuck on the terminal and won't send, <mark style="color:red;">contact Verifone Support</mark>. Our team will help you with the stuck payments.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/v400m/errors/offline-transactions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
