# How to Set Up Mobile Data

Insert a SIM card and turn on mobile data on your Victa.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** your terminal uses a SIM card for mobile data, or you need to check its mobile data settings.
{% endhint %}

## Insert the SIM card

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Turn off the terminal

Hold the **power button**, then tap **Power off**.
{% endstep %}

### Open the card tray

Find the card tray on the **side** of the terminal. Push the **SIM tray pin** into the small hole to release the tray.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Insert the SIM card

Carefully place the SIM card in the tray, then push the tray back in until it **clicks**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Turn the terminal back on

Hold the **power button** until the start screen appears. If you inserted the SIM while the terminal was on, restart it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Turn on mobile data

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the SIM settings

Open the app list: swipe **up** on the home screen. If your Victa opens straight into **Connect Express**, swipe **down** from the top of the screen and tap the **settings icon** in the bottom-right corner to get to the Android menu. Then tap **Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Turn on the SIM

Make sure **Use SIM** is turned **on**. Check **Mobile data** is turned **on** too.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
If the terminal still won't connect on mobile data, see [Error T703 – No Connection to Host](/support-nordics/victa/errors/error-t703-no-connection-to-host.md) for the APN settings to check.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/victa/how-tos/how-to-set-up-mobile-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
