# How to Void a Transaction

Cancel (void) a transaction on your Victa from the order history.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use this when** you need to cancel a transaction — for example, if the wrong amount was entered.
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the order history

Tap the **menu icon (☰)** in the top-left corner of the **Connect Express** screen, then tap **Order History**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the transaction

Tap the transaction you want to cancel, then tap **Void**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose a reason

Choose a reason — **Cancelled Order**, **Returned Goods**, **None**, or **Other** — and tap **Submit**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter your PIN code (if asked)

If you're asked for your **PIN code**, enter it — see [How to Set Up a PIN Code](/support-nordics/victa/how-tos/how-to-set-up-a-pin-code.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Wait for approval

The terminal shows **Authorising…**, then **APPROVED**. Choose whether to print the customer and merchant receipts.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check the result

The order history now shows the sale as **voided**, with a separate **VOID** entry. Tap the **back** button to return to **Connect Express**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-nordics/victa/how-tos/how-to-void-a-transaction.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
