# Red Dot Error

A red dot in the top-right corner of the V200C screen means an offline transaction is stored on the device and hasn't been submitted yet.

## Symptoms

You may see:

* A red dot in the top-right corner of the main screen.

**Most likely cause:** an offline (stored) transaction on the device hasn't been submitted yet — usually because the terminal lost its network connection.

## Resolution

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Check the network connection

Make sure the terminal is connected to the network. If it isn't, [restart the network interface](/support-uk/v200c/how-tos/how-to-restart-the-network-interface.md) first.

✅ **Red dot cleared — stop here.** ❌ **Still showing — continue to Step 2.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Send the offline transactions

Submit the stored transaction by following [How to Submit Offline Transactions](/support-uk/v200c/how-tos/how-to-submit-offline-transactions.md). Once it's sent, the red dot clears.

✅ **Red dot cleared — stop here.** ❌ **Still showing — see below.**
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Still not working?

If the red dot is still showing after sending the offline transactions, the stored transaction may be stuck and the terminal may need replacing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/support-uk/v200c/errors/red-dot-error.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
