# How to Restart the Network Interface

Restart the network interface on a V200C terminal to restore or refresh its network connection.

**Use this when** the V200C has lost its network connection, or you need to refresh the connection after a Wi-Fi, LAN, or configuration change.

**Do NOT use this when** the terminal has never had its network set up — restarting the interface won't create a connection that doesn't exist. Set the network up first, then restart if needed.

This guide restarts the V200C's network interface from the Supervisor menu, which reconnects the terminal to Wi-Fi or LAN without needing a full reboot.

You'll need the Supervisor password to complete this process. The default is `12345`. If it has been changed and you don't know it, refer to page 43 of the [Webcom Manual](https://helpcenter.verifone.com/webcom-manual/).

## Restart the network interface

### Open the Main Menu

Press the `*` button on the terminal keypad, or tap the Verifone banner on the screen.

### Open the Supervisor Menu

Select `Supervisor` and enter your password.

### Open Communication

Select `Communication`.

### Open More options

Select `More`.

### Open Configuration

Select `Configuration`.

### Restart the network interface

Select `Start/Restart Network Interface`.

### Choose your connection method

Select the connection type you are currently using — for example `Wi-Fi` or `LAN`. The terminal will then show one of two results:

**Config started.** The terminal displays "Interface started" once the connection has been established. No further action is needed.

**Config failed.** The terminal displays an error message with a red X. This is usually caused by a network issue, or by the terminal's network not yet being set up.
