# How to Amend a Wi-Fi Network

Update the password or settings of a saved Wi-Fi network on a V240M terminal.

**Use this when** you need to update the password or settings of a Wi-Fi network already saved on a V240M terminal.

This guide edits a saved Wi-Fi network — for example, to update the password if it was changed or missed during setup.

You'll need the Supervisor password to complete this process. The default is `12345`. If it has been changed and you don't know it, refer to page 43 of the [Webcom Manual](https://helpcenter.verifone.com/webcom-manual/).

## Amend a Wi-Fi network

### Open the Main Menu

Tap the bar at the top of the screen, or press the `*` button.

### Open the Supervisor Menu

Select `Supervisor` and enter your Supervisor password.

### Open Communication settings

Select `Communication`, then choose the `Wi-Fi` tile.

### Open Configuration

Tap `Configuration` to access the Wi-Fi settings.

### Select the network to edit

In the Wi-Fi menu, choose the network you want to amend.

### Open View / Edit

Tap `View / Edit`.

### Open Authentication settings

Select `Authentication`.

### Update the password

Choose `Pre-Shared Key (PSK)`. Clear the old password and enter the new one (or add it if it was missed during setup).

### Confirm the change

Press `OK`.

### Return to the View / Edit screen

Press the red `X` once, or tap the arrow on the blue bar.

### Save the changes

Tap `Save`.

### Confirm the save

Press `OK`.

### Apply the network settings

Select `Yes` when prompted to apply the changes.

### Complete the update

Press `OK` when the interface restarts. Then tap the top bar, or press the red `X`, to exit the menus and log in.
