# How to Check the Terminal's IP Addresses

Find the IP addresses a V240M terminal is currently using, from the Communication status menu.

This guide locates the terminal's IP addresses from the Communication menu.

You'll need the Supervisor password to complete this process. The default is `12345`. If it has been changed and you don't know it, refer to page 43 of the [Webcom Manual](https://helpcenter.verifone.com/webcom-manual/).

## Check the terminal's IP addresses

### Open the Main Menu

Press the `*` button on the terminal keypad, or tap the Verifone banner on the screen.

### Open the Supervisor Menu

Select `Supervisor` and enter your Supervisor password.

### Open Communication

Select `Communication`.

### Select your connection method

Select the connection type you are using.

### Open Status

Select `Status`.

### Open IPv4

### View the terminal IP addresses

The terminal's IP addresses are now displayed on the screen.
