# How to Set Up a Wi-Fi Network

Connect a V240M terminal to a visible Wi-Fi network from the Communication menu.

**Use this when** you need to connect a V240M terminal to a visible Wi-Fi network.

You'll need the Supervisor password to complete this process. The default is `12345`. If it has been changed and you don't know it, refer to page 43 of the [Webcom Manual](https://helpcenter.verifone.com/webcom-manual/).

## Set up a Wi-Fi network

### Open the Main Menu

Tap the bar at the top of the screen, or press the `*` button.

### Open the Supervisor Menu

Select `Supervisor` and enter your Supervisor password.

### Open Communication settings

Select `Communication`, then choose the `Wi-Fi` option.

### Scan for networks

Tap `Configuration`, then `Wi-Fi Scan`. The terminal searches for available networks.

### Select your network

Find your Wi-Fi name in the list and tap `Add`.

### Enter your Wi-Fi password

On the Password screen, choose `Pre-Shared Key (PSK)`, type your Wi-Fi password, and tap `OK`.

### Save the settings

Press `Save`, then `OK` when the terminal confirms.

### Apply the network settings

Select `Yes` to apply the changes.

### Exit and log in

Tap the top bar, or press `X` to close the menus, then log in as usual.
