# How to Set Up Mobile Data

Set up a mobile data (SIM) connection on a V240M terminal, including APN and PPP settings.

**Use this when** you need to connect a V240M terminal to the network using mobile data (a SIM card).

This guide configures the terminal's mobile data connection — the SIM slot, APN, and PPP credentials — from the Communication menu.

You'll need the Supervisor password to complete this process. The default is `12345`. If it has been changed and you don't know it, refer to page 43 of the [Webcom Manual](https://helpcenter.verifone.com/webcom-manual/).

## Set up mobile data

### Open the Main Menu

Tap the bar at the top of the screen, or press the `*` button.

### Open the Supervisor Menu

Select `Supervisor` and enter your Supervisor password.

### Open Communication settings

Select `Communication`.

### Choose Mobile Data

In the Communication panel, tap the `Mobile Data` tile.

### Open Configuration

Select `Configuration`.

### Check the SIM slot

Tap `Select SIM Slot` and make sure it is set to `1`.

### Skip the SIM PIN

Leave the SIM PIN option as skipped.

### Open Mobile Settings

Select `Mobile Settings`.

### Verify the settings

Make sure the following values are correct:

* **APN:** `mobius.m2m` (KPN via Mobius), `verifone.inc.cxn` (TELENOR), or `internet.cxn` (Mobius)
* **Auto Start:** Yes
* **PPP Username:** web
* **Password:** web

### Save the settings

Tap `Save`, then press `X` repeatedly to return to the login screen.

### Start the interface

Press `OK` when prompted to start the interface.

### Exit and log in

Tap the top bar, or press the red `X` button, to exit the menus, then log in.
