Device import error codes

Reference list of error codes the VHQ device import tool can return.

What are these error codes?

When the VHQ import tool processes a CSV or XML device import file, any record it can't process is reported in the output status file with one of the following error codes and a descriptive message.

Error code reference

Error Code	Description
E_USER_DOES_NOT_HAVE_PARAMETER_EDIT_RIGHT	User does not have rights to edit the parameter.
E_USER_UPDATEFAILED	Update failed for the user.
E_USER_UPDATEDSUCCESSFULLY	User updated successfully.
E_UPDATEFAILED	Update failed for the user.
E_USER_ALREADY_UPDATED	User already updated.
E_USER_NOT_FOUND	User does not exist.
E_SECURITY_GROUP_DOES_NOT_FOUND	Security group does not exist.
E_HIERARCHY_NOT_FOUND	Hierarchy not found.
E_SECURITY_GROUP_ASSIGMENT_NOT_ALLOWED	Assigning security group is not allowed.
E_HIERARCHY_DOES_NOT_EXIST	Hierarchy not found.
E_INVALID_DATETIME_FORMAT	Date and time format is invalid.
E_USER_HIERARCHY_MAPPING_ACCESS_DENIED	Hierarchy mapping access is denied to the user.
E_INVALID_SOFTWARE_ASSIGNMENT_TYPE	Invalid software assignment type.
E_PARENT_HIERARCHY_NOT_FOUND	Parent hierarchy not found.
E_DEVICE_EXISTS	Device exists.
E_PACKAGE_NOT_FOUND	Package not found.
E_EXCEEDED_MAXIMUM_NUM_OF_PACKAGES	Maximum number of packages exceeded.
E_COMMON_APPLICATIONS_FOUND	Common applications exist.
E_APPLICATIONS_NOT_FOUND	Applications not found.
E_TEMPLATES_NOT_FOUND	Templates not found.
E_GROUPS_NOT_FOUND	Groups not found.
E_REFERENCESET_NOT_FOUND	Reference set not found.
E_DEVICE_ALREADY_IN_STATUS	Device is already in status.
E_PARAMETERS_NOT_FOUND	Parameters not found.
E_INVALID_PARAMETER_NAME	Parameter name does not exist.
E_DEVICE_ALREADY_DELETED_OR_BLACKLISTED	Device is either deleted or blacklisted in VHQ.
E_PACKAGE_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT	Package does not support.
E_PACKAGE_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_DA	Package(s) does not support DA.
E_USER_DOES_NOT_HAVE_GLOBAL_RIGHTS	User doesn't have global rights to perform global operations.
E_LICENSE_DEVICE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED	Licensed device limit exceeded.
E_DEVICE_LICENSE_EXCEEDS	Device license exceeds.
E_INVALID_FILE	File does not exist.
E_DUPLICATE_HIERARCHY	Multiple nodes found in hierarchy.
E_PACKAGE_ALREADY_ASSIGNED	Packages already assigned.
E_PACKAGE_NOT_ASSIGNED	Cannot unassign package(s) as they are not assigned to the device.
E_PACKAGE_CANNOT_UPGRADE	Package cannot be upgraded.
E_REFERENCESET_ALREADY_ASSIGNED_TO_DEVICE	Selected device(s) is assigned to a reference set.
E_CANNOT_UPGRADE_PACKAGE	Package cannot be upgraded.
E_CANNOT_UPGRADE_WITH_SAME_PACKAGE	Same package cannot be upgraded multiple times.
E_FORM_FILE_NOT_FOUND	Form file not found.
E_INVALID_PARAMETER_VALUE	Parameter value is invalid.
E_HIERARCHY_IGNORED	Hierarchies ignored — maximum hierarchies allowed per user is 1.
E_SECURITYGROUP_HIERARCHY_INFORMATION_NOT_AVALIABLE	Security group hierarchy information is not available.
E_CANNOT_UNASSIGN_PACKAGE	Package cannot be unassigned.
E_INVALID_PROTOCOL	Protocol invalid.
E_DEVICE_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_APPLICATION_ASSIGNMENT	Device does not support application assignment.
E_DEVICE_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_PACKAGE_ASSIGNMENT	Device does not support package assignment.
E_APPLICATION_NOT_ASSIGNED	Application is not assigned.
E_APPLICATION_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT	Application does not support.
E_CANNOT_UNASSIGN_APPLICATION	Application cannot be unassigned.
E_CANNOT_UPGRADE_WITH_SAME_APPLICATION_VERSION	Same application version cannot be upgraded multiple times.
E_COMMON_APPLICATIONS_CANNOT_BE_ASSIGNED	Common applications cannot be assigned.
E_DEVICEID_IS_REQUIRED	Device ID is mandatory.
E_INVALID_STATUS	Status invalid.
E_USER_DOES_NOT_HAVE_HIERARCHY_ACCESS	User does not have hierarchy access.
E_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND	Device not found.
E_IP_VALIDATION	IP validation error.
E_INVALID_PARAMETER	Parameter invalid.
E_INVALID_INSTANCE	Instance invalid.
E_NON_MULTI_INSTANCE	Non multi-instance.
E_PRIMARY_IDENTIFIERS_NOT_PROVIDED	Primary identifier not provided.
E_INVALID_TEMPLATE	Template invalid.
E_INSTANCE_ALREADY_EXISTS	Instance already exists.
E_TEMPLATE_ALREADY_EXISTS	Template already exists.
