# Device status evaluation for Carbon devices

This section discusses device statuses on carbon device in VHQ.

## What is Carbon device status evaluation?

Carbon devices have a built-in tablet component with its own separate status. The overall device status (payment terminal and tablet combined) is evaluated by consolidating the status of both components, based on the following combinations.
