# Group assignment

This section discusses adding/deleting devices to/from groups in VHQ.

**Use this when** you need to add a device to a group, or remove it from one.

You can add or delete devices to and from groups.

## Add a device to a group

### Select the device

Select the serial number checkbox for the device in *Device Search*. The *Actions* window is displayed.

### Assign the group

Click **Group** > **Assign Group**. The *Add Group Assignments* screen is displayed. At least one group must be selected.

## Remove a device from a group

### Select the device(s)

Select the checkbox for the device serial number(s) in the *Device Search* screen. You can select multiple checkboxes to remove groups from multiple devices at once.

### Unassign the group

On the *Actions* window, select **Unassign Group**.
