Edit multi-record parameters across multiple devices

Edit, add, or remove multi-record parameter instances across selected devices in VHQ.

Use this when you need to edit multi-record parameter instances across several devices at once.

You can edit, or perform a global edit of, multi-record parameters for multiple devices from the Device Search screen. Parameters can only be edited if the selected devices are assigned the same (common) application.

Edit multi-record parameters

1

Select the devices

Go to the Device Search screen, select the devices, and click Edit Parameters.

Select devices for editing
2

Edit instances

Click the pencil icon on the Edit Parameters for Application screen. You can add, edit, and delete instances, and apply the parameters to the applications. Common instances across the selected devices appear in the grid; if there are none, the grid stays empty. You can add, edit, and delete any number of instances per level.

3

Save

Review the available parameter template and its parameters/instances, then click Save to apply. When applying a template with ADKH, POINT, SYS, or $$$ format (from Device Search or Device Profile), all parameters with source type Template display as User in the UI.

For ADKH, POINT, SYS, and $$$ formats, only General Level parameters can be edited and displayed.

Keywords
