What is Software Management?

The Software Management feature allows you to manage software on a large number of devices across the system with the help of Packages, Reference sets, and Applications.

The Software Management feature provides a powerful and customized way to manage software on the device estate. You can manage the software automatically (automated downloads) or manually through a controlled environment.

• Automated downloads: VHQ automatically detects and downloads software updates to devices.
• Manual downloads: You can manually download the required software to a selected set of devices.

The software on VHQ is primarily configured by importing Software packages.
