Add a location

Create a new location record for chain of custody workflows.

Create a location record.

Before you start

Confirm that:

• the location does not already exist
• you know the values required by the location form
• the new location should be available in chain of custody workflows

Add a location

1. Open the add form

Go to Device Management → Locations → select the + icon.

2. Enter the location details

Enter the required location details and save the record.

Location configuration changes appear in the File Chain of Custody screen.

View the updated location details

Go to Device Management → Locations.

Verify the result

After you save the record, confirm that:

• the new location appears in the location list
• the values are correct
• the location is available for later chain of custody use
