Use alerts and notifications

Use this area to:

• identify device or server issues that need attention
• confirm the result of recent import jobs
• open the next task for investigation, configuration, or follow-up

Before you start

Confirm that you know:

• whether you are checking an urgent device issue or an import result
• whether you need alert review, notification follow-up, or subscription changes
• which device, import, or operational event you expect to find

Alerts vs notifications

Alerts

Alerts are raised for important device-level or server-level events.

Alert severity is categorized as:

• High — urgent issues that need attention
• Medium — issues to review soon
• Low — lower-priority events and information

Notifications

Notifications show processing updates for import activities such as:

• devices
• locations
• chain of custody files

Use Notifications after a bulk upload or merge task.

Open the alert center

Sign in to Verifone Central → Device Management.

Select the bell icon in the header.

Review the current Alerts and Notifications entries.

Choose the right page

Use these pages when you need more detail:

• Alerts — review alert entries and open alert details
• Notifications — review import-related updates
• Alert administration — manage subscriptions and alert configuration
• Event Notifications — send device events to email or webhook destinations

Use the right follow-up path

Choose the next page based on the event you see:

• use Alerts when a device or server issue needs investigation
• use Notifications when an import or merge action finished, failed, or needs review
• use Alert administration when you need to change which alerts are generated or delivered

Verify the result

After you open the alert center, confirm that:

• you are checking the correct event type
• the visible entries match the issue or import you expected
• you can move directly to the correct follow-up task
