Audit log

Filter and review chronological activity records in Device Management.

Use Audit log to review chronological activity records in Device Management.

Use it when you need to investigate:

  • who performed an action

  • when an event happened

  • which organization or event type is involved

Before you start

Confirm that you know:

  • the approximate time range of the activity

  • the organization, user, or event type you want to filter

  • whether you need one event or a broader activity pattern

Open Audit log

Go to Verifone Central → Device Management → Reports → Audit Log.

Filter the results

Use these filters to narrow the result set.

Apply the least-specific filter first. Add filters until the results answer your question.

Use this order:

  1. Set Interval to the investigation window.

  2. Add Organization ID when the activity belongs to one organization.

  3. Add Search for user or Event Type to isolate the event.

Interval

Use Interval to limit the audit view to the time window you want.

Organization ID

Enter Organization ID when the audit search should only show events for one organization.

Search for user

Use Search for user when you need events tied to one user.

Event Type

Use Event Type when you need only one class of activity.

Review the output

After you apply filters, confirm that:

  • the date range matches the investigation window

  • the organization and user scope are correct

  • the listed events match the event type you expected

If the result set is too broad, add another filter.

If the result set is empty, widen the interval or recheck the filter values.

Preserve investigation context

Record the interval and filter values before sharing findings. This lets another reviewer reproduce the result set.

Do not draw conclusions from an event without confirming its organization, user, and event type.

Result

You can narrow the audit history to a reproducible set of relevant events.
