# Edit parameters for batch devices

Review or update parameters before you schedule a batch rollout.

Review or update parameters during a batch **Parameters Only** rollout.

### Before you start

Confirm that:

* the rollout should update parameters for multiple devices
* you know which application needs the change
* the selected devices should receive the same parameter set

Record the application version, changed values, and expected target count. Stop if any selected device needs a different configuration.

### Edit parameters for batch devices

1. Go to **Verifone Central** → **Device Management** → **Rollouts** → **Create Rollout**.
2. Select the **Parameters Only** rollout path.
3. Select the application you want to update.

5. Save the parameter changes.
6. Compare the saved values with the intended application version and batch scope.
7. Continue the rollout flow to schedule the rollout for the selected devices.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not schedule the rollout if one device needs different values. Use the single-device flow for that device.
{% endhint %}

### Verify the result

Before you start the rollout, confirm that:

* the correct application was edited
* the updated values are saved
* the rollout still targets the intended device batch
* the application version and parameter values match the deployment plan
* the saved values match the approved batch configuration

### Result

The updated parameters are included in the rollout.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/verifone-central-getting-started/verifone-central/verifone-central-device-manager/rollouts/parameter-management/edit-parameters-for-batch-devices.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
