# Create rollout for a single device

Create and schedule a rollout for one device.

Create a rollout for one device.

### Before you start

Confirm that:

* you selected the correct device
* the payload is ready for deployment
* you know when the device should download and install the update

Confirm the device identifier, model, and current operational state. Stop if the payload is not intended for that exact device.

### Create the rollout

1. Go to **Verifone Central** → **Device Management** → **Rollouts** → **Options** → **Create New Rollout**.

2. Select the device checkbox, then select the device icon to open its profile.
3. Go to **Device Profile** → **Options** → **Download Schedule** → **Software and Parameters** or **Parameters only**.

8. Click **Ok** to confirm.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Stop before confirmation if the device identity or payload is unexpected. Review the device profile and selection first.
{% endhint %}

### Verify the result

Before you confirm the rollout, check that:

* the correct device is selected
* the selected rollout type matches the intended payload
* the download and install schedule matches the deployment plan
* the created rollout appears against the intended device after submission
* the recorded device identifier matches the device shown in the rollout

### Result

The rollout is scheduled for the selected device.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.verifone.com/verifone-central-getting-started/verifone-central/verifone-central-device-manager/rollouts/schedule-rollouts/create-rollout-for-a-single-device.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
